Americana, Bluegrass, American Folk music is an unknown music movement for many people. The musicians of the Dirtroadmusic band want to change this.

With a mix of Bluegrass traditionals, original songs, and here and there a well-packed evergreen. “We take the audience along the “dirt roads” of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina with traditional American roots music, including the genres “Americana and mountain music”.

The Dirtroadmusic band consists of three seasoned musicians-singer-songwriters. Singer and guitarist is the American John Leahy who grew up with this music. The band also consists of Pascal Oetiker who plays banjo, mandolin and blues harp and double bassist Cor Claessen. All three men are also the backing vocalists in the band. The gentlemen recorded an album with Rens van der Meer, at Thrills Studio in Loenen aan de Vecht (Rens is a multi-instrumentalist and his Honky Tonk style piano playing can be clearly heard in our recording of "Santa Fe"). This is the first of 6 singles that will be released over the course of the year. This will be followed by an EP of another 6 songs. So it will take a while, can't you wait? No Name Faces are one of the most exciting modern metal bands from Sweden at the moment. Originally formed in 2005 by Dick Grisdale, Lazarus Heights steadily built their profile in the Dordogne area of South West France, before seasoned rock drummer Jeff Gautier joined the band in 2020.

Festival favourites Dry White Bones, will be at Glastonbury for the 4^th time this year, you could have seen them at Boomtown where they have played 4 times, or many other events where they are always asked back, Watchet, Way out West, Godney Gathering, Bristol Harbourside to name just a few.The band are an eclectic mix of Darren Smith, a very dominating on stage presence, crazy lyricist, magic guitar strummer and front man, Dave Gibson, fine blower of blues harp and rattler of teapots and washboards and Harry Ford now resident stand up drummer driving the tracks along, Darren used to sit down and play drums with his feet, Harry has come in and given Darren the freedom to be the front man he always was.

Altered Five Blues Band

Altered Five smokes, smolders and burns like a swig of good whiskey. Far Wider

Working as a collective, soul and blues-infused band Far Wider are set to release their brand-new single ‘The Other Woman’ on the 29th of March across all streaming platforms. Taken from their upcoming debut album, they’re ready to set the tone with their fresh offering. 

Hooking up with artists from around the UK and beyond, Far Wider has chosen to collaborate with Geneva, mostly known for her time on The X Factor in the girl group Belle Amie. The Spell

On the heels of "Smoldered Out" comes the Spell's latest release, "Everything I Own" , “Everything I Own” is a touching and authentic tribute to the original Bread song from 1972. The Spell recorded it as a duet, trading verses and phrases back and forth between members Kenny Marquez and Tara B. Barbarella And The Boogie Blues

 

Barbarella And The Boogie Blues, is a project and band created by singer and song writer, Rachel M. They shared their first sonic salutation, Objectifying You, on December 16th 2023, to be swiftly followed by, Ain't Nobody Know My Pain, which dropped on, January 23rd and has since been heard on the legendary radio Caroline, Jazz FM and several other amazing stations around the world, currently supporting the blues. Won't You Come Back, the third track to be shared by the band in as many months, featured guitar virtuoso, Vince Hall and was first shared on valentines day, 2024.  With plans to share further music imminently and embark on a mini European tour in summer 2024, watch this space for updates.

Midnight Fuel

Midnight Fuel is a rock band from Thessaloniki, Greece. Formed in 2013 when vocalist/songwriter Gio Dimitriadis collaborated with keyboardist Aggelos Abatzis and guitarist George Kyrou. A while later, drummer Babis Kalogiannis and bassist Jim Zacharof joined the band after the invitation of Gio Dimitriadis.

Influenced by a wide spectrum of musical styles, Midnight Fuel's sound include rock, indie, blues and alternative elements.

In July 17, 2017, the band released digitally the debut album "River Busted". The production was independent, made by Aggelos Abatzis, while the compositions are written by Gio Dimitriadis*.
The album includes 7 original compositions and a reprise-alternate take version of the "One More Day" original track.

In May 2022, after a long 5-year of being inactive, and with two member replacements, Apo Vamvakidis (guitar) and Vaggelis Katsis (drums), the band ascended with a new powerful album, titled “Figures In The Dark”. It consists of 8 new tracks, two of which are instrumental and once again, the flexibility of the band’s style allows the making of an album with sounds fluctuating from experimental to classic.”

Voodoo Ramble

Following the well received ‘Home Again’ album, band leader Boris Zamba hooked up with guitarist Mick Pini at his House of Happiness studio in Germany.

The two guitarists immediately connected with their love of the blues. They plugged in, jammed and the sparks flew on a sparkling shuffle blues.

As Boris explains: “It’s been a while since the last album and I felt the time was right for a new collaboration.
It was the perfect time to meet Mick, as I wanted to get back to the blues and in his long career he’s played with some of the biggest names including B.B. King to Luther Allison.
The song is the kind of blues shuffle that naturally leads plenty of space for improvisation and that suited us both perfectly. I think it’s a great groove and the slick licks make this song a boomer, and I hope it makes you wanna dance.

Los Perlas

Los Perlas started in the spring of 2006, created by Josete (bass and vocals), Luisete (drums and backing vocals), a guitarist whose name does not transcend, and Miguel on vocals. This initial lineup established the leitmotif of a band destined to navigate the turbulent waters of change and musical innovation.

The year 2007 marked the first major transformation, with the arrival of David P. and David Enrique (nicknamed "Pescador de Sonrisas"), expanding the musical dimension of the group. However, it was the departure of both Davids and the arrival of Alfio on drums that reconfigured the band, moving Luisete towards new musical horizons as guitarist and lead vocals.

Stability seemed a dream when, at the end of 2008, the band was forced into an almost annual hiatus. The resurgence came with Alex on drums, but it was short-lived; His departure gave way to Ferrán H., marking the beginning of a new era of consolidation and first experiences on important stages, such as his debut in Cardedeu in 2009.

The real changing of the guard occurred in 2014, with the inclusion of Daiana and the duo Ferran A.-Txema, the latter becoming the new creative force after the departure of the old members. The Txema era brought not only new music, but also a new direction: "Siempre la liá el mismo," recorded in 2016, became a testament to his growing influence.

The period between 2017 and 2020 witnessed further changes: the departure of Daiana and David P., the arrival and departure of Laura, and the consolidation of Txema not only as a composer but also as the lead voice of Los Perlas, with Campi contributing new textures on the guitar. This stage was marked by a search for identity, finally crystallized in the creative alchemy between Txema and Campi.

Currently, the departure of Ferran A. and Laura has only strengthened the core of Los Perlas: Josete, Txema, Campi and Sergi. The latter, a multi-talented drummer and backing vocalist, joined in November 2022, injecting vitality and harmony both on stage and in the studio, leading to the creation of acclaimed singles such as "I love coffee" and "Cazadora".

The release of the video clip for "I love coffee" in February 2024 is not just another chapter in the story of Los Perlas; It is a testament to their resilience and ability to reinvent themselves. Today, the band is immersed in the production of a new album, symbolizing not only its evolution but also its position as a beacon of creativity and cohesion in modern music. "Feel Love" is a deep expression of the power of love within us all to connect and overcome and is crucial to the wellbeing and future of our world.

In a time of great instability, war, and potential environmental catastrophe, this song is an appeal to 'feel love' again as a starting point for how we respond appropriately to what is going on in the world. The forthcoming album (titled “If Not Now, When?”) was released in Autumn 2023 and charts the course of a relationship from hopeful beginnings, to emotional crises, breakup and recovery. Alberta-Based Blues Rock Sextet SPARROW BLUE Releases "That Rock N Roll" Single From No Lies, No Tricks Album

St. Albert, Alberta's blues rock sextet Sparrow Blue has managed to do something that is rare: make classic rock sound as fresh, energetic, and punchy as it did when it first started. The result is a short but incredibly sweet, party-starting, rowdy rock nugget, "That Rock N Roll," the latest single from the band's 2024 album No Lies, No Tricks. And judging by the sizzle on this sonic steak, Sparrow Blue has so, so much to offer.

 
The single captures all the pent-up energy and angst the pandemic created for everyone, especially musicians who weren't able to perform for fans, giving out that energy from the stage to fans and in turn receiving their energy. "'That Rock N Roll' was a direct response to being locked down in 2020," the band says. "It came from the frustration of not being able to connect with people in a live setting and missing the freeing feeling of a full PA pumping through your body. The song evolved into an anthem of passion and love for live music, our fans, and appreciation that one day we will be on the road again."
 
That verve comes through immediately on "That Rock N Roll." Singer Des Parks' classic rock rasp and slightly southern delivery in the vein of Cinderella's Tom Keifer reaches through the speakers (or ear buds) to grab your attention immediately. Meanwhile, guitarists Chad Plamondon and Jon Dombroski lay down some rockabilly-ish riffs that keep the lean, lovable tune rolling down the tracks and gathering steam. The rhythm section of bassist Caden Doyle, percussionist Russell McCann, and drummer Liam Holm hold down the back beat and groove with sacrificing any oomph. Think of some fine boogie blend of the Georgia Satellites, Stray Cats, and Guns N Roses circa The Spaghetti Incident? and you might get the gist of this incredible rocker.

Elise Lunden

As a melodic and versatile, yet carefully lyrical, singer-songwriter, Elise Lunden combines folk pop with classical influences in order to speak straight to the heart. With her strong and tender soprano voice, as well as her characteristic vibrato, she brings themes of love, loss and hope into a sonic landscape of tranquility where these humane emotions can be felt again as if for the first time. Born in Stockholm in 1991, Elise spent over a decade discovering her singing and compositional voice. 

But before that, Elise and her twin sister Nina would spend their early days singing in harmonies by the piano and exploring different musical styles. When Elise went on to write her own music, the twins would more often spend time in music sessions surrounding Elise’s latest musical work. Since Elise’s sudden passing in 2019, Nina has continued to engage in her sister’s music as an ongoing project. This way, Elise’s empathic, emotional and elegant artistry is able to stay in bloom. The first released EP, Exchanging Silent Sounds, is based on home recordings Elise made for notebook keeping between 2012-2016. Using vocal isolation techniques, Elise’s voice has been extracted and new arrangement added in collaboration with Swedish music producer Daniel Bengtson, as well as some of Sweden’s most prominent musicians. 

Since its release in 2022, the music has caught the attention of local radio stations in several countries, including the UK and the US.

Johnny Kantor

Johnny Kantor, one of Canada's original bad boys, is known to many who were involved in the rock scene of the 80s and 90s. Having recently spent time in South East Asia to focus on his songwriting, he's now back in the studio. With the release of three new original songs, and more on the way this summer, Johnny has created some excellent new rock songs.
