Martin Kuiper

Martin Kuiper's new single "So You Left Me with a Smile" is a song about what a smile can give you. Kuiper's lyricism is akin to a master storyteller. Get immersed into the story and picture the scenes he is describing. Each line of the song adds something new, from powerful images to deep metaphors that make the listener want to learn more about the story. The melody creates a soothing, powerful and melodic background, and the well-balanced instruments make a full, emotional soundscape.

"So You Left Me with a Smile" is the seventh release from the album "To Feel Is to Believe", and follows the singles "Ordinary Magic", "Mood", "Emotion Dealer", "Always (All The Things I Want)", "You & I" and "Until I Die". Martin Kuiper's debut album "To Feel Is to Believe" will be released this June and contains 10 songs with a semi acoustic pop feel.

Elise Lunden

As a melodic and versatile, yet carefully lyrical, singer-songwriter, Elise Lunden combines folk pop with classical influences in order to speak straight to the heart. With her strong and tender soprano voice, as well as her characteristic vibrato, she brings themes of love, loss and hope into a sonic landscape of tranquility where these humane emotions can be felt again as if for the first time. Born in Stockholm in 1991, Elise spent over a decade discovering her singing and compositional voice.

But before that, Elise and her twin sister Nina would spend their early days singing in harmonies by the piano and exploring different musical styles. When Elise went on to write her own music, the twins would more often spend time in music sessions surrounding Elise’s latest musical work. Since Elise’s sudden passing in 2019, Nina has continued to engage in her sister’s music as an ongoing project. This way, Elise’s empathic, emotional and elegant artistry is able to stay in bloom. The first released EP, Exchanging Silent Sounds, is based on home recordings Elise made for notebook keeping between 2012-2016. Using vocal isolation techniques, Elise’s voice has been extracted and new arrangement added in collaboration with Swedish music producer Daniel Bengtson, as well as some of Sweden’s most prominent musicians.

Since its release in 2022, the music has caught the attention of local radio stations in several countries, including the UK and the US.

alyona alyona and Jerry Heil

Ukraine presents their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024: "Teresa & Maria" by alyona alyona and Jerry Heil.

This song carries several powerful meanings.

Firstly, the symbolism of the duo of artists and the song's title conveys feminine strength. The main message is embedded in the lyrics "all saints were once born as humans," as everyone starts small, but we are defined by our actions.

The track also reflects their reality, singing about the pain of every Ukrainian. They find strength in people; they unite to get closer to a common goal, to their victory.

Within the first day of its release, the song reached the trends on Ukrainian YouTube, attaining the 4th position. The main Eurovision reviewers and fans predict one of the first places for the Ukrainian duo on the main stage in Malme. Additionally, in the voting on the official Eurovision website, the track "Teresa & Maria'' holds the top position among all participants in the national selection, according to listener votes.

IdaLO

This is Swedish singer/songwriter IdaLO's first catchy single from her forthcoming 2024 album. It features Danish acoustic and electric guitar player, co-writer and producer Finn Olafsson, known from his recordings with artists like Anne Linnet, Pia Raug, Lars Lilholt, Ache - and known for his many instrumental guitar releases.

"Låt världen snurra" is written for IdaLO's daughter in her teenage years. It's a song about not giving in to FOMO (fear of missing out) and highlights the unnecessary haste that many of us experiences once in a while. With the question: where are we going anyway? Where is our end station?
And that everything we search for can be found inside ourselves.

IdaLO (aka Ida Linnea Olsson) appears on the Danish label and music publishing company Olafssongs.

HiSQ & Terri and Norman Bergen

HiSQ is known for catchy tunes in many genres. Now they try rockin’ country!

They teamed up with Norman Bergen, a legend who wrote for instance ”Only A Fool Breaks His Own Heart”. Norman asked his wife Terri to sing this duet with him. It’s like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton reunited. The HiSQ band wanted their original song to sound both modern and traditional with slap-bass and everything. Luckily they also got Norman to play the piano solo.

”I’ll Never Let You Go” with Terri and Norman Bergen tells a story that HiSQ hopes nobody can relate to. But hey, it’s still a compelling country tune!

Wild Wisteria

Crystal Tangerine has an internal cohesion whist covering differing spectrums of time, location and musical genre, testament to Wild Wisteria’s versatility.

The album opens with "Going Home", lamenting the lost 'age of the 78 vinyl', followed by the title track, inspired by machinations during one of the most fascinating periods in Australian politics, but with universal relevance to life in general.

"On the Dark Side of the Moon", "Unrequited Love", "I Did Not Year You" and "House of Many Faces" showcase the different facets of love within the genres of Rock, Prog Rock, Classic Rock, Folk and Pop.

"Moment by Moment" is a timeless, Adult Contemporary Pop Ballad. "Shanghai Cowboy Show" has a US Country Jazz vibe. "Blue Skies in Paradise" is Pop Orchestral Indie Rock, inspired by the Italian Amalfi Coast. "Smokin’ Annies’ Place" is pure Jazz, drawn from the backstreets of New Orleans.

Gulf Stream Riders latest, I’ll Be There, is a fun, upbeat Americana tune about trying to find love in the modern age; asking for vulnerability when it's so hard to let one's guard down.

Rezo

Rezo is the musical project of Irish duo Colm O’Connell and Rory McDaid who is based in Spain. Initially a virtual collaboration borne out of the Covid pandemic (Rezo means “I pray” in Spanish) the pair released their critically acclaimed debut album Travalog in May 2021. Recorded entirely remotely, UNCUT Magazine described it as an “atmospheric calling card from a band who inhabit a hazy hinterland between melodic electronica and the moodier proto-Americana of say Sparklehorse or Mercury Rev. The varying sonic palettes weave together beautifully...” Monolith Cocktail called it “a real achievement; a triumph of great melody, feel, and above all songwriting.” Their follow-up album Sew Change is out now. Folk Radio UK called it “even more remarkable” and “proof that Rezo are still at the forefront of generating fresh and creative collages of sounds. This is what great music is capable of being.” Recorded in Dublin’s Darklands studio with Dan Doherty (Fontaines DC), Sew Change channels effortlessly evocative melodies and immaculate arrangements into songs that mine the innocence of the past to make sense of a more complicated present. Musically it moves from soft acoustic openers that call to mind Wilco to McCartney-esque piano ballads and on to the electronic pop of say Hot Chip or Grandaddy.
