Anthony Krizan

Krizan’s rock roots run deep. He was lead guitarist of the Spin Doctors, opening 15 dates for the Rolling Stones with audiences of 70,000, and for the Allman Brothers. He played guitar with Jimi Hendrix’s legendary bassist, Noel Redding. Anthony is known for rocking the big stages and getting an audience on their feet. He’s an original member of Amphibian, with Phish lyricist Tom Marshall.

In the Summer of 2022, Krizan released the single Strawberry Wine. The song is currently experiencing national radio play and critical acclaim. The single can be purchased here.

Anthony has also penned rock/soul staples such as Stand By My Woman with Lenny Kravitz, 5 songs on the Spin Doctors Greatest Hits, the theme of the Spin City TV series and The Howard Stern “Miss America” theme. Recently, Krizan co-wrote the title track to British rock singer John Waite’s new 2022 EP, Anything, and produced 3 tracks on the release. He also co-wrote the title track to John Waite’s Mercury release When You Were Mine.

Krizan is the 2013 recipient of the ASCAP FOUNDATION JAY GORNEY AWARD for the song he co-wrote with CHERYL DAVEIGA, “Home Don’t Feel Like Home”.

But Anthony’s true passion lies in his solo work. The Anthony Krizan Band’s performances and songs are electrifying, a swampy, rock/blues/soul, genre crossing solo-coaster ride. The title track to his last CD, Dust & Bone, was well-received and recorded by Gretchen Wilson, blues guitar legend Pat Travers and Tim Hicks (Universal Records).

He is the owner of SONIC BOOM STUDIOS.

Birds are better

The brainchild of Norwegian singer-songwriter Stian Fjelldal, Birds Are Better brings a unique slant to folk music with a fusion of traditional folk, power-pop, synth-rock and indie-pop.

The Other Side Reviews describes the project as a meeting between Charlie Puth and Mumford and Sons while Of Monsters and Men comes to the minds of Nordic Music Central and Music To Blame.

Fjelldal himself is a huge fan of artists like Fleet Foxes and Loney Dear and you might be able to spot Birds Are Better somewhere in between.

The project was launched this fall and “Marigold” is his second single. More singles will come before the debut album release in 2023.

Stigma

"Last Order" – latest release by Stigma. Five punchy, intense songs about the joy of living and celebrating, inviting to sing along.

"Long Way", a song by bikers for bikers. It celebrates the fun of motorcycling and authentically conveys the freedom in the saddle.

In "Break Them All" a fighter bravely overcomes her opponents – and herself. Powerful and 'in the face' like the protagonist herself.

"Time": In the band’s opinion, life is too short to struggle with nonsense, which leads to a stunning anthem for 'no compromise'.

Lies and propaganda are being addressed in the song "Lies of War". The truth dies first in war, and if you weren’t aware of that, you should listen to this metal-track with all senses open.

"Deadline" is an intense song about these moments in life where it gets tight. The band deals with the subject of mortality in a thoughtful and haunting manner.

The Offliners

Offliners Is a band based on many years of love for music. The most pervasive component in this is rock music, but also detours to other elements are present. When music really plays, it can move the listener - and you have like that community with others regardless of age, gender, religion, color, nationality and other conditions that otherwise help to create distances.

There is a lot of love for music in its creation and performance - and with many concerts, rock archaeological excavations in bygone record stores and years of listening to records, singles, CDs, digital services and all other outlets… ..

The name "Offliners" is an expression that you can sometimes do the opposite of being Online - and give yourself time to meet the physical surroundings and impressions.

Robert Johnson

As one of the pioneers of recorded blues, and more specifically the delta blues genre, Robert Johnson was essential in the popularity of blues despite the remarkable fact that the only recordings which exist of him are from a period in 1936 and 1937.

He is known primarily for as a classic blues singer accompanied by erratic blues guitar, with hit blues songs such as “Cross Road Blues” and “Sweet Home Chicago”, which have almost become synonymous with the genre.

Born in 1911, Robert Johnson found little success during his lifetime, and his life was in fact cut short in 1938, aged just 27, under mysterious circumstances.

The back of his death certificate mentions ‘complications with syphilis’ but his contemporary David Honeyboy Edwards (who is believed to have performed with Johnson days before his death) insisted that Johnson was poisoned.

Johnson’s songs have managed to stand the test of time with various modern covers over the years; “From Four Until Late” was performed by Cream on their debut album, and  “They’re Red Hot” was done by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers on their album “Blood Sugar Sex Magik” (albeit, hardly recognisable).

Although he is primarily famous as a master of blues guitar, it would be amiss to leave Johnson out of this list, considering his status as a blues pioneer, and the sheer fact that he had a great voice.

It’s hard to underestimate his influence on the history of Blues music; his international appeal with artists like Eric Clapton on the other side of the Atlantic played a pivotal role in the 1960s British blues movement.

The Static Dive

The Static Dive is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer, Bob Smith. From his studio in upstate NY he works remotely with LA-based co-producer Kilo House to create genre-bending indie psychedelic rock, pop and Trip-hop.

Takin'off

The band's new work is a global rethinking of the famous Nirvana hit. The track made a lot of noise among the fans. The band definitely put their whole soul into their version of "Something in the Way" and received the highest ratings from rock radio stations. The track features live instruments which gives the composition a special warmth and atmosphere. The project team invited the strongest rock musicians for the recording, 19 people worked on it. Takin'off's previous cover track "Come Together" hit the radio in 19 countries, gaining more than a thousand airplays in the first three months of rotation.'

Elour

"Fade", the first single from Elour's debut full length album "Blood Running", excites and pleases with a delicious blend of rock rhythms and pop stylings.

Listening you may be reminded of Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Blondie, Garbage, or Elastica. Sort of, but not quite. It recalls the past and adds something new that's hard to pinpoint, but easy to groove to.

It's cynical, aggressive lyrics about the life expectancy of a new relationship are, according to songwriter and lead vocalist Elizabeth Ghandour, applicable to any 'bright and shiny' new thing in an attention deficit world, be it a new partner, new drug, new car, new app, new location, etc.

Clocking in at a brisk 3:15, it won't demand too much of your attention, but it will keep it.

HiSQ & Jessie Galante

Gimmee Gimmee Gimmee Some More,” the 7th single by HiSQ, is a praise for rock ’n’ roll.

The lyrics were co-written with featured singer Jessie Galante from Buffalo, New York. She believed that the song was about how you should allow the force of the music you love overtake you and that you can never get enough of it.

The song has an infectious stomping beat and the guitars were influenced by Wilko Johnson, who had recently passed away when the band went into the studio. Playing guitar without a guitar pick gave the song extra roughness honoring him as the great guitarist from the band Dr. Feelgood.

The second half of the song demonstrates to everyone how captivating rock music can be.
Once the song is over, you'll probably want to listen to it again in part because of Jessie’s impressive vocals.

Wild Wisteria

In the words of music reviewer Jon Wright: 'Fans of monumental Rock energies and emotionally available, deeply positive lyricism, will find themselves completely hooked by the sound and style of Wild Wisteria! Incredible overall sound! Start to finish.'

Wild Wisteria is both the band name and title track of the third album. The source of inspiration comes from the woody twining vine, with beautiful purple flowers, that will climb and tangle its tentacles around anything in its path. A wisteria plant is resilient and keeps coming back, no matter how often it is cut. Wild Wisteria seemed like a metaphor for the human qualities that singer-songwriter, Malcolm Raedel, most admires in life.

The song has been included on the compilation albums, "#1 Best Rock Singer Songwriters "and "Carefree Summer (25 Chill & Feel-Good Tunes)" on the Compigram label.

Rezo

Rezo is the musical project of Irish duo Colm O’Connell and Rory McDaid who is based in Spain. Initially a virtual collaboration borne out of the Covid pandemic (Rezo means “I pray” in Spanish) the pair released their critically acclaimed debut album Travalog in May 2021. Recorded entirely remotely, UNCUT Magazine described it as an “atmospheric calling card from a band who inhabit a hazy hinterland between melodic electronica and the moodier proto-Americana of say Sparklehorse or Mercury Rev. The varying sonic palettes weave together beautifully...” Monolith Cocktail called it “a real achievement; a triumph of great melody, feel, and above all songwriting.” Their follow-up album Sew Change is out now. Folk Radio UK called it “even more remarkable” and “proof that Rezo are still at the forefront of generating fresh and creative collages of sounds. This is what great music is capable of being.” Recorded in Dublin’s Darklands studio with Dan Doherty (Fontaines DC), Sew Change channels effortlessly evocative melodies and immaculate arrangements into songs that mine the innocence of the past to make sense of a more complicated present. Musically it moves from soft acoustic openers that call to mind Wilco to McCartney-esque piano ballads and on to the electronic pop of say Hot Chip or Grandaddy.

The Static Dive

The Static Dive follows a string of underground hits like "High & Dry" and "Only a Snowfall" with a guitar-fueled cover of John Lennon's anti-war anthem "Give Peace a Chance".

Of the release, Bob Smith (The Static Dive) says, 'Each year I drop a single on my birthday (April 15). Considering the disturbing state of the world, I thought this was the perfect gift for me and a my fellow pacifist Lennon fans.'

"Give Peace a Chance" by The Static Dive pairs modern psychedelic rock vibes with the sing-along spirit of the original; to bring John Lennon's simple and beautiful proposition to a new light.

Fox Nigon

"Adsum", the third album by singer-songwriter Fox Nigon, is a veritable cocktail of style and a mix of genres.

Produced in collaboration with British producer Matt Butler (Paul Mc Cartney, Madness, Kool And The Gang, Tears For Fears), who handled all the arrangements, and with the invaluable help of Rob Butler, who handled the vocal production, Fox presents his most accomplished album.
Recorded across 3 countries (France, Spain and United Kingdom), with the help of 3 studios (Mysound, Studio 110 and The Stone House), it's the culmination of two and a half years of work.

Categorically refusing to be locked into a single musical style, Fox happily moves from pop to rock, from reggae to electro, offering jazzy nods, and using vintage sounds as well as classical or current.
The musical link can certainly be found at the level of the approach to cinematographic illustration which characterizes the whole of the work.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mike's "From the Heart" in 2008, but WOW! This one truly moves! He's easily on par with smooth jazz greats, like David Benoit, Brian Culbertson, Jeff Lorber and Gregg Karukas. This has a nice blend of smooth ballads and moving tunes! Great compositions. Great musical ensemble. Thanks Mike! I'll be sure to spread the news about this one. Misha Fair

Misha Fair, a prolific singer songwriter, has been making a bold impression with her classic country vocals and expressive lyrics. Those who have been fortunate enough to see her dynamic performances are in high expectation of her upcoming solo releases.

A product of a musical family, the singer-songwriter’s family has had major label success from RCA to Atlantic Records. As a result, she spent most of her early childhood development in the same studios as Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the SOS Band, Isaac Hayes, and many other music legends.

With a rich musical legacy written into her DNA, her childhood was shaped by this reality in remarkable yet complicated ways. While most of her kindergarten classmates were toting My Buddies to Show-n-Tell, her father would join her, off tour, with members of the S.O.S. Band, fully costumed. Enthralled in the family business, she quickly earned a reputation as the little girl with the big voice, wowing audiences with renditions of LeAnne Rimes’ ‘Blue’ and other tunes byo Country artists such as Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, as well as rock singer-songwriters Pat Benatar, and Joan Jett.

She was trained from a young age as a classical vocalist, but found her passion in jazz, hip hop, and the gritty alternative sound of the mid9 0s. She performed in countlessmarquee, and children’s choirs in her hometown. Unbeknownst to her, there was a wave of hip-hop and RnB sweeping Atlanta, and the young Misha Fair found her tribe along the confluence of the shared and varied traditions that make up the musical ethos of the United States. Misha Fair attended college on a vocal performance scholarship. Minoring in linguistic studies, she may be one of the few country artists able to sing and write in multiple romance languages.

In 2008, she began an internship at Wondaland Arts Society after a chance meeting with Janelle Monae. Her professional career was kickstarted after she began assisting creatively with many of her early projects.

She has collaborated with artists, songwriters, and producers including the likes of Blanco Brown, Breland, Demun Jones, and Yelawolf.

As she embarks on a solo musical career she looks to join her country musico Contemporaries as a prolific singer-songwriter. All the while, she remains in high demand as a vocal trainer and artist developer. “I’m a classically trained, Southern girl, who fell in love with everything great about this country. My songs have been deep-fried in folk, gospel and bluegrass and are best served with a side of rhythm and blues, and rock and roll,” Misha Fair comments on her music.
