The Western Country Band

„It is an awesome journey through my life with my music, my friends, my kids, my wife...“ (“The Journey” by TWCB)

It all started with a van. No, not a fan. Andy M. Veit didn't have a fan back in those days. Except his mother. - God bless all the cheering mothers out there! - He just had a van. It was old, a little bit rusty and slow. „I'm on the road, have nowhere to go, no hurry, I take it slow...“ (“I'm On The Road” by TWCB)

Andy took all his money from his bank account to buy a guitar, a little PA and this old van. He quit his studies at university. Andy wanted to be a musician. Surely his parents felt really enthusiastic about this well thought out idea of their youngest son.

“At nights I play my guitar in a bar...” (“Family Man” by TWCB)

The following years were filled with little money but with lots of fun. To make your living as a musician is hard work but filled with passion, friendship to impressive people and sound, sound, sound.

In 2017 Andy M. Veit took the chance to found TWCB with his great guitar playing friend Marco Birkner. The very talented bass player Mike Oberhauser and the fabulous drummer Erny Moucka joined them.

“So many people are there, yes they seem to care! With a big wide grin I start to sing...” (“A Good Night's Song” by TWCB)

The first concert was arranged quickly. The band worked hard and had a lot of fun to create their own sound. But the joy in the matter was even greater: The first concert already packed! Incredible.

“Successful on my way, no time for a stay. Too far and further on, too fast on and on...” (“Home” by TWCB)

And how did it continue? Logically with the second concert. And? The hall was full again. Madness. More and more guests came to the following concerts. The setlist was constantly expanded. Guest musicians invited.

Fireworks of fun shared with the audience. Own songs have been written. The first album "The Journey" was recorded in 2018. The single „Christmas In The Country“ was released in 2019 and in 2020 Corona couldn't stop them. „Little Love Song“ was produced. In 2021 it was released worldwide and reached a great amount of airplay (nearly) all over the world!

Rob Georg

Country music has always been regarded as an american sound bred in the southern regions, but if fans have learned anything from the likes of keith urban, country music can come up from anywhere in the world. This leads us to the german radio cowboy himself, rob georg.
Very few would imagine a cowboy from germany, but rob georg just does not wear the label, he lives the lifestyle. He spent the first chapter of his life as a professional equestrian athlete in the discipline of cutting. Here cowboys work cattle from horseback, all in true country fashion. He has won various championship titles that have led him to participate in the highly endowed tournament, the world series.

For an entire decade georg was traveling across american cutting arenas with his trainer dean terry. With the many miles spent together on the highways, the two soon connected a deep friendship. When terry passed away in january 2018 and georg’s beloved soul horse "primetime shorty" also crossed the rainbow bridge just one month later, a world broke down for the cowboy. To clear his head, he decided to take a break from ranch life.

And so, the passionate amateur singer flew to nashville “music city u.S.A.” tennessee to work on his singing skills with a professional vocal coach kristin k. Smith (katie mac, jilian steele, casey derhak, smithfield, and josh dorr to name just a few).

Encouraged by her words, georg began recording his music and never looked back. His debut single "push that horn", a tribute which he wrote in memory of dean terry, was released in june 2018 and is still being played in every cutting arena in the u.S.

Since then, georg has released several country singles further demonstrating his songwriting talent, as well as his vocal prowess. Georg also knows how to captivate his audience live, whether on his first u.S. Tour from denver to seattle, on stages on nashville broadway scene or the biggest country music events in europe, such as the country music meeting berlin or the western experience in the netherlands - the cowboy casts a spell over the audience.

in 2020 georg’s debut album "radio cowboy" was released to much praise which to date has racked up more than a million streams on spotify alone. The official videos have been viewed over 2. 7 million times. So far, five singles have been released to radio, reaching an incredible number of 17 #1 positions on various u.S. Charts. His latest radio release "this old house" just spent two weeks at #1 in the u.S. National radio hits country chart and has made the jump to #1 on the new music weekly charts. Fans and music critics are equally enthusiastic:

• "... A great, very catching album, which is certainly one of the strongest "german" productions of the past 10 years ..."
country.De (germany's largest online country music magazine)
• "honestly, there isn't a sub-par track on the album, mostly because of the wealthy, enticing voice of rob georg, oh so appealing."
rawckus.Com (rawckus magazine reviews new releases in all genres of music)
• "... Raises the bar in terms of passion, dedication and commitment ..."
artistrack.Com (artistrack magazine evaluates new releases in all music genres)
• "rob georg's skills and talent is unquestionable and every song is more beautiful than the last" indiepulsemusic.Com (indie pulse music magazine reviews new releases of all music genres).

Georg had an insanely good year 2020 - with his album release, he not only celebrated chart placements, invitations to special live concerts, such as the country radio seminar in nashville in february, or streaming numbers - he also won his first international music award at the new music awards "breakthrough country artist of the year", and the fair play country music red carpet award in the netherlands "amazing male voice country pop original". So, it will not surprise you that georg and his co-writers are already busy writing tracks for the second album. 2021 he took the fpcm award home for the “song of the year”.

In his corona lockdown project, a spotify podcast called "country music ain't dead," of which the first episode was released in early december 2020, he supported other country artists from around the world by interviewing them and then introducing them to his 350,000+ social media followers. Management companies and artists were jockeying for interview slots on the bi-weekly artist talk.

But after all, he still is the cowboy that he used to be. Together with his wife mel georg, he runs a ranch in the odenwald forest, germany with horses, cattle, sheep and a bunch of border collies, which mel breeds and trains to be stockdogs. Asked why he's still doing the chores himself, georg answers "the animals are my life, and i can't think of doing something else. This is where i find my inspiration. This is what keeps me grounded."

Georg’s songs reflect the life he leads and the stories he lives to tell.

The Livesays

The Livesays are an accomplished five-piece Heartland/Americana band fronted by the band’s namesake critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Billy Livesay, who spent 12 years performing, recording and touring with E-Streeter Clarence Clemons' band "Temple of Soul."

During his 12-year tenure with the beloved “Big Man,” Billy recorded and released "Live in Asbury Park" Volumes I & II at The Stone Pony, the second album which features Bruce Springsteen. Billy has shared the stage with so many industry giants, his resume reads like a "Who's Who of Rock n' Roll Hall of Famers." Drummer Steve Rheingold, was formerly the beat keeper with the legendary Wayne Cochran. The Livesays' lineup is rounded out with Jorge Laplume on bass, Victor "Cuqui" Berrios on Hammond B-3 organ, and Tim Murphy on piano, all of whom have impressive resumes of their own. Cuqui, who grew up in New York City, offers a touch of the Big Apple to the band with his Hammond B3 and impassioned vocals.

Tim brings his ear for harmony and his unique Elton John style piano. Jorge hails from Havana, Cuba; with his Latin roots coupled with a steady diet of the rock groups The Who and Free, he delivers a bass sound that is both funky and thunderous. The combination of these five seasoned pros, with their versatile backgrounds, incomparable harmonies, energy level, and undeniable chemistry, create real magic on stage together and put on one heck of a dynamic live performance.

The Livesays have created five full length albums that are both memorable and moving with stories ranging from adolescence to adulthood, from battling addiction to conquering depression, from finding love to losing love ... with lyrics that will surely touch your heart and quench your soul.

Mike Pinera

Fool’s Game by Mike Pinera is not just a song; it’s a heart felt and powerful anthem that resonates deeply with the realities of war and the human suffering it inflicts. Mike Pinera, a rock and roll veteran with an impressive musical pedigree, has crafted a musical masterpiece that captures the essence of his decades-long career and his commitment to addressing pressing global issues. Pinera’s journey in the music industry, from his early days with Blues Image to his collaborations with iconic bands like Iron Butterfly, Alice Cooper, and Led Zeppelin, has undoubtedly contributed to the depth and maturity of his musical style. Fool’s Game showcases his seasoned vocal prowess and guitar skills, reminding us why he’s a legend in the rock scene. His vocals are not just powerful; they are emotionally conflicts. The accompanying music video for Fool’s Game elevates the song’s message to a whole new level. By using footage from various global conflicts and political events, the video drives home the stark reality of warfare and its devastating impact on innocent civilians. It serves as a poignant visual testament to the song’s antiwar message. One commendable aspect of this release is Mike Pinera’s commitment to making a difference. Allocating a portion of the single’s profits to the Ukrainian Relief Effort is a noble gesture. It demonstrates his dedication to helping those affected by war on a tangible level, providing them with essential resources like food, money, and medical supplies.

As for the song itself, Fool’s Game lives up to its magnificent title. The emotive and profoundly moving lyrics tackle the heart- wrenching topic of the Ukrainian war with sensativity and grace. While the song’s storyline unfolds at a deliberate pace, it emits a sense of hope and resilience, infusing the listener with energetic vibes. The strength and tenderness in the powerful chorus make it truly memorable. The instrumental on in Fool’s Game is a testament to Pinera’s mastery of his craft. His guitar work stands out brilliantly, conveying the depth of his emotions regarding the war. The passion with which he plays the guitar elevates the listening experience to something truly spectacular. This song deserves a wide audience. It’s not only a musical gem but also a meaningful piece of art that addresses a crucial global issue. Listening to Fool’s Game and watching its accompanying video is not just an entertainment experience; it’s an opportunity to reflect on the world’s conflicts and the importance of working towards peace. I wholeheartedly recommend this track on multiple levels – for its lyrics, its musical quality, and its impactful message. Therefore, Fool’s Game by Mike Pinera is a brilliant fusion of music and activism. It invites listeners to engage with the profound message it carries while enjoying the catchy melodies and exceptional musicianship. This song has the power to broaden musical tastes and deepen one’s appreciation for the role music can play in addressing critical global issues. It’s a must-listen, and I believe it will leave a lasting impression on all who take the time to experience it.

Destiny Band Oz

Destiny Band Oz is a multi-award winning duo comprising husband and wife singer-songwriters, Thomas and Tessa Libreri. Their versatile music and vocal styles range from soulful ballads to pumpy, country rock; ('Country, Rock and Soul!) They have already released 3 albums and 2 EPs and are excited to have just released their new album of original songs with new producer, Damian Cafarella of EOR Studios called 'Who I Might Be'. As children, Thomas and Tessa grew up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. Thomas in Reservoir and Tessa in Kilsyth. They were both musically inclined and tutored in music and singing. Thomas formed his first band at 12 playing bass guitar and had singing lessons from Normie Rowe.  He played in many bands over the years. Tessa performed in musicals, went to the Johnny Young Talent School and was classically trained by Suzanne Steele then with Audrey Duggan. Thomas and Tessa met in a line-dancing country band based in Kinglake in 1996 which seemed like 'destiny' and they soon branched out on their own as a duo and later with various full band line-ups performing at clubs and functions. They married, had children and settled in Kinglake. They didn't perform much whilst their children were very young and then the horrific Black Saturday bushfires struck.

Thomas and Tessa fought and saved their home and family and some of their neighbours but not all - and in the aftermath they decided to move their family away to Gippsland for a new start. (Thomas received a 'BM' - Bravery Medal from the Governor-General of Australia for his actions in saving a neighbour after the fire who sadly died a few weeks later in hospital) both Thomas and Tessa were heavily involved in the relief and rebuilding effort personally and through their building business at the time. After moving to Gippsland, they devoted themselves to the activities of their primary school aged daughters, joined community groups and clubs in the area and soon found themselves performing full-on again. They decided to record an album of their original songs written over the years because of their life-changing experience and knowing how fragile life is, so it was more for posterity than anything but they were encouraged by local radio hosts who'd heard them perform their songs to release a song to radio, which they did in 2017. Since then, they've had amazing #1 and Top 10 chart successes for their music and have amassed over a dozen major Australian and International awards.

Marc Miner

When you think of alternative-outlaw-country-rock and Americana music, you probably think of the USA, maybe Canada. So, Marc Miner is the European representative. While Nashville is considered the “city of music” in the USA, Marc settled down in the European version of it: Vienna, Austria! As if that weren’t enough, Marc is also an international breed: His father from the USA met Marc’s mother from Germany in Poland. That’s also where Marc was born, before the family had to leave the country.

They moved to Vienna, where Marc grew up and where he started his first bands ranging from rock n roll, rock to even punk and grunge – which at that time was the “teenage sound of revolution.” By the age of 16, the rebellious Marc Miner decided to leave home. He traveled through Europe, got a job on board of a container ship, and arrived in the USA in 2000. Impressed by the lifestyle of the South, the prairie, the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains, and the melodies he heard there, he decided to stay. Unfortunately, life ain’t a free ride, so beside his music jobs, he also started to gamble, which finally got him to jail. Marc was accused of illegal gambling, forging, and other “trivial offenses,” as he calls it. With some help from his father’s influential friends, the US authorities finally granted amnesty to Marc, but he had to leave this wonderful country. Back in Europe, he finally settled in Vienna. Here he does what he does best: Music in the good old tradition of Americana Music, Country Rock, and Outlaw Country, but with more modern influences like Hellbound Glory, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Jinks, Blackberry Smoke, or Whiskey Myers.

He released several singles and his first studio album “Smile When You’re Wasted” in October 2020, which was praised by the press and the public and earned him several awards. In 2022, Miner released his first original short film soundtrack “The Path Of His Spirits (OST),” which also won awards in the US and Slovakia. His second official studio album “Last Heroes” will be released on September 15, 2023. And from time to time, Marc Miner appears in front of larger and smaller audiences to perform his original songs and covers for the outcasts, misfits, losers, and those with broken hearts.

The Hillbilly Moon Explosion

A viral phenomenon reissue. After 23 million YouTube views, hundreds of tattoos, dozens of cover versions, eight sold-out 7” pressings, comes the NINTH 7” pressing. Spread by word of mouth – the entrancing romantic love song (or is it a murder ballad?), with its unique guest vocals from Sparky Phillips of psychobilly band Demented Are Go contrasting with HME’s Emanuela Hutter – has rarely been played on any radio.

The Hillbilly Moon Explosion continue with their gigging schedule, with gigs across Europe this fall, and plan a new album next year. The band are two Englishmen, a Frenchman and a Swiss/Italian chanteuse, resident in Switzerland, and are one of the classiest exponents of rockabilly alive today, subtlety mixing in swing, ska, country, blues and Europop without compromising their roots – making their rock'n'roll exciting and enduring.

HiSQ & Terri and Norman Bergen

HiSQ is known for catchy tunes in many genres. Now they try rockin’ country!

They teamed up with Norman Bergen, a legend who wrote for instance ”Only A Fool Breaks His Own Heart”. Norman asked his wife Terri to sing this duet with him. It’s like Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton reunited. The HiSQ band wanted their original song to sound both modern and traditional with slap-bass and everything. Luckily they also got Norman to play the piano solo.

”I’ll Never Let You Go” with Terri and Norman Bergen tells a story that HiSQ hopes nobody can relate to. But hey, it’s still a compelling country tune!
