St. Doval

Todays music comes from Canadian rocker St Doval who has sent through his latest release "Kids Of Our Time" from his first solo mini album "Catching Starlight" This is a very much a solo project, all the writing and performance, other than the drums are handled by the man himself. The track seems to deal with the coming of age that we all go through, the reality of you`ve now got to deal with the outside world and finding your way through the uncertainties that face us all in the world today.

St. Doval is the rock project of Toronto-based singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer J.C.Sandoval. Blending the soaring choruses and gritty guitars of ’90s alternative rock with emotionally direct lyrics, his music resonates with fans looking for both catharsis and connection. J.C.’s career includes national and international tours, collaborations with acclaimed artists, and a deep commitment to crafting songs that speak to the human experience.

Sonic Whip

So the young Dutch trio are back with a short, but sweet new single called "Survive", which was released last Friday the 19th September.

"Our new single, “Survive”, is a raw and honest reflection on the dynamics of friendships: the clashes, confrontations and reconciliations that seem to return again and again in an endless cycle. We recorded this new single in a completely remote studio in Belgium, together with producer Michael Smith (Wolf Alice, The Saints, among others).

Last year, we played throughout all of the Netherlands and beyond, rocked big Dutch festivals such as Zwarte Cross and Huntenpop  and played big rock festivals in the UK like Firevolt Rock Festival and Wokingham Festival. This year we crossed the North Sea for the fourth time for another UK tour, where we won two Radio Wigwam Awards for “Best International Band” and “Best Live Act”."

Lydia Reddy

A bubbly and charismatic performer, with vocals that immediately captivate an audience, Lydia recently made her solo festival debutat Manchesters After All Festival, one of the North West’s biggest grassroots music shows. Performing to a packed-out room, Lydia’s musical storytelling was an absolute highlight of the weekend, generating great reactions and instant acclaim from the crowd. Lydia also recently played an acclaimed set at the Mcr1 Festival and will soon be announcing a headline show for 2026.

The Way We’re Rollin’ is the sophomore single from vocal powerhouse Lydia Reddy from Lancashire. Both ear-wormingly catchy and lyrically inspirational, this incredibly infectious track mixes dance-pop with a hint of country, is ideal for fans of Mika, Marina, Dua Lipa or Morgan Wallen and is the perfect anthem to close out the summer! Lydia’s stunning soul-style vocal takes centre stage immediately, belting out a song which is not only hi-energy and highly danceable but also a testament to personal empowerment, authenticity and self-confidence. The track wears its hear firmly on its sleeve, telling the listeners that ‘I can look like this, I can look like that, it doesn’t matter either way cos I exist for me before urging everyone to ‘be your own person, live your life for you’. Pairing meaningful messages with a tune that sends your spirits soaring, The Way We’re Rollin’ is guaranteed to get you listening, singing (and dancing) along whilst constantly nodding in affirmation!

Lydia’s own story is as compelling as her music! Formerly lead singer of teenage alt-rock band Sudell Cross, Lydia has not only played Main Stage at England’s largest free music festival, Darwen Live, but has performed headline local shows at the iconic King Georges Hall, Blackburn. In 2024, she was also lucky enough to sing pre-match at Leigh Leopards stadium to over 8000 rugby league fans! Describing her music as Power Pop, with its dynamic vibes, explosive vocal riffs and stunning mixing & production (from the expertise of celebrated North West studio Club Haus),Lydia already has a banging set of energy-infused tracks ready to release throughout 2025 and 2026, and is anticipating a fantastic year.

The Bateleurs

The Bateleurs are back in 2025. "For all to see" is the new single for the upcoming album "A light in the Darkness", scheduled for release later this year.

The band went through a major line-up change, with the departure of the guitarrist Marco Reis and the addition of Ricardo Galrao to fill his role.

Rehearsals and recordings were done in January and February 2025 and the new record is definitely a leap forward on The Bateleurs sound and aesthetics.

"For all to see" is a song about the life on the road, playing music, sharing dreams and loving every moment of it. It features two guests, Tiago, Maia on slide guitar and Nuno Louro on Hammond organ.

You can already hear them on the station.

Touch the Buffalo

Touch the Buffalo is the missing link in the evolutionary chain between 20th-century rock and 21st-century rock. Born out of the vibrant DMV music scene, the band blends raw alternative energy, grunge grit, and modern rock hooks into a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly new. Formed in 2016, Touch the Buffalo began as a stripped-down duo and has since grown into a powerhouse band. Together they’ve carved out a reputation for high-energy live shows, inventive arrangements, and unexpected twists—like their signature distorted ukulele.

With two EPs and a full-length album under their belt, Touch the Buffalo has built steady momentum in the DMV and beyond. They’ve won local Battle of the Bands competitions, earned radio play, and shared festival stages with national acts including Sugar Ray, Good Charlotte, Gin Blossoms, and Jimmy’s Chicken Shack. Along the way, they’ve stayed rooted in the community that shaped them, playing beloved venues across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Touch the Buffalo isn’t here to imitate— they’re here to evolve. Their music nods to the past while charging head-first into the future, delivering songs that are gritty, melodic, and undeniably alive. ”Nerd Love” is about the search for a deep, genuine connection between two people who embrace both their imperfections and their shared humanity. ”Nerd Love” is built on mutual respect and adventure. At its core, its a love letter from one dreamer to another — a celebration of finding someone who accepts you completely, flaws and all, in a world that often feels digital and distant.
