Mikio’s Mountain Castle Band is a Los Angeles, California based band led
by guitarist and songwriter Mikio Sankey. Their latest album is called
"Once Upon a Dream" and their music is known as Vintage American Music.
The music is a combination of Rock and R&B, Country, Folk, Jazz,
Eclectic Music with just a touch of Fusion Jazz. All the compositions of
Mikio’s Mountain Castle Band are original with most of the songs being
mellow with moderate tempos.
Vintage American Music features Chris Wonzer on lead vocals with either Gretje Angel or Bette Miller accompanying him on lead vocals. All the songs also feature improvised solos by lead guitarists Mikio Sankey and Mike Albert with Peter Assing on either tenor or soprano saxophones. The rhythm sections consists of Paul ILL on bass and Ronnie Ciago on drums and percussions.
